ConRad MRI-SAFE Thermal Blanket Instructions

Step 1

Place the patient on a solid surface warming pad and cover with a fleece blanket and the MRI Safe - ConRad Thermal Blanket during induction of anesthesia.

Step 2

Keep the patient on the warming pad and covered with the MRI ConRad Thermal Blanket as much as possible while applying patient monitors.

Step 3

Keep the patient covered with a fleece blanket and the MRI Safe ConRad Thermal Blanket while moving the patient to the MRI scanner.

Step 4

Once at the MRI scanner, circumferentially wrap the patient with a regular fleece blanket and the MRI Safe ConRad Thermal Blanket so that it covers the entire body during the scan.

Step 5

Make certain that an insulating layer, such as a regular blanket or another MRI ConRad Thermal Blanket, is underneath and between the patient and the cold underlying MRI surface.

Step 6

The MRI ConRad Thermal Blanket may be cleaned with soap and water or a germicidal solution.
